Appointments

Receptionist

PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY FOR AN APPOINTMENT WITHOUT PHONING FIRST.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THE PRACTICE EMAIL TO REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT.

All appointments will be dealt with initially by an on the day triage call or a pre-bookable telephone consultation with a clinician.

If you phone between 8.30am and 9.30am you will be put into our triage system (Emergency only calls after 9.30am).  A clinician will call you back to discuss your symptoms.  They will then decide if you need to be seen for a face to face appointment.

Urgent Appointments

If you need an urgent appointment, please let the receptionist know you need to be seen urgently and give the reason where possible - this will help us assess and prioritise how quickly you need to be seen.

Please see below for details of how to access appointments:

Nurse and HCA appointments are available to pre book.

GPs/Nurses or Pharmacists on the Telephone

There are times set aside each day when a doctor or nurse is available to consult with you on the phone. You may get a call from one of our practice-based pharmacists, who deal with most of our medication queries.  Please contact us and the receptionist will help you find a suitable time when a clinician of your choice is free to talk to you.

Many patients find telephone consultations useful and convenient as often they are simply seeking advice from the GP or Nurse and do not require a face to face appointment.

Hospital appointments

NHS Highland are transforming their outpatient programme in order to improve referrals and give patients greater control of their appointments.  Click here for further information.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
