When We Are Closed
If you have a serious problem between 6.00pm and 8.00am which cannot wait until the surgery reopens, telephone NHS 24 on 111.
Your call will be answered by highly trained and experienced nurses, who will ask the patient's name, address and telephone number, details of the medical emergency and the telephone number from which you are calling. You may be given advice, invited to attend a local Primary Care Emergency Centre, or a home visit arranged. Please note that these calls are recorded.
NHS 24 is a modern 24 hour health service, which has round the clock health advice and support from highly trained and experienced nurses. It also deals with all out of hours calls.
Contact by telephone 111 or visit www.nhs24.com
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
