NHS Highland has ended the longstanding contract that allowed us to provide enhanced diabetes monitoring within the practice. At this time, no suitable alternative contract has been put in place.
As a result, some patients will now receive their diabetes checks, monitoring, and medication advice or adjustments through secondary care (hospital) clinics. Routine six-monthly checks will no longer be carried out at the practice for patients under hospital care or those with stable diabetes.
All patients will continue to be invited for yearly monitoring at the practice and medications will be adjusted as necessary to ensure safe and effective care.
