Non-urgent advice: How to Make an Appointment

All appointments will be made with either a same day call back with a clinician, or by a pre arranged appointment.

  • Routine pre booked clinic appointments can be arranged by calling reception between 8:30-17:00
  • For all other appointment requests please contact reception between 8:30 - 9:30am who will arrange a same day callback with a Doctor of your choice, where available. They will call you back as soon as possible that morning to discuss your symptoms and arrange further care or treatment based on your needs. Please be aware at busy times these callback appointments may be fully booked before 9:30.

Please note, emergency calls only after this time.

Urgent advice: Urgent Care

If you have a medical emergency such as Chest Pain, Severe Shortness of Breath or Suspected Stroke dial 999

If you need an urgent appointment or advice, please let the receptionist know you need to be seen urgently and give the reason where possible - this will help us assess and prioritise how quickly you need to be seen.

Non-urgent advice: Home visits

Home visits should only be requested for patients who are housebound and unable to attend the surgery. Whenever possible, please request home visits before 10am, as this will assist in prioritising those who require the most urgent attention. Please be prepared to give brief details of the problem to the receptionist so that the urgency of your request can be relayed to the doctor. If there is any uncertainty about your request, the doctor may first telephone you to discuss the problem further before deciding, with you, that a visit is required.

It would be appreciated if you could attend the surgery whenever possible, as home visits are very time consuming.

If you need help when we are closed

If you require medical help between 6pm and 8am Monday to Thursday and after 6pm Friday until 8am Monday morning please phone 111 (NHS 24, Freephone). The staff at NHS 24 will ask you for information about your health and condition and will advise on the most appropriate course of action. This may include offering advice over the phone or advising you to attend a pharmacy. If they feel you need to be seen they will pass your case to Highland Hub who will be in touch to arrange for you to attend an Urgent Care Centre or in some cases provide a home visit.
