Some medications can make you unwell if you have an illness which could cause dehydration.

Vomiting and diarrhoea (unless very minor)

Ace Inhibitors
Usually prescribed for high blood pressure
Examples include perindopril, lisinopril, enalapril and ramipril
ARBs
Usually prescribed for high blood pressure
Examples include losartan, candesartan, irbesartan
Diuretics (water tablets)
Examples include furosemide, bumetanide, bendroflumethiazide, indapamide
Metformin
Usually prescribed for diabetes
NSAIDS (Anti-inflammatories)
Examples include ibuprofen, naproxen, celecoxib, etoricoxib
