Community Midwives

The community midwives care for women throughout pregnancy and after birth, working with GP’s and hospital services. Ante-natal clinics are held on a Wednesday afternoon and a Thursday morning in Beauly. To make an appointment please phone the Community Midwives on 01349 864571 at Dingwall Health Centre.

Health Visitors

Health visitors are qualified nurses who have undertaken additional specialist training. They provide a home visiting service which is available to all families with babies and pre-school children. They offer a programme of health, development and wellbeing reviews and are able to provide advice and support on a wide range of issues, including infant feeding and nutrition, maternal health, immunisation, dental care, home safety, minor ailments and parenting. If children are experiencing particular difficulties they can offer additional support and oversee the provision of the services of other professionals if required.
